Obituary of Robert "Bob" Stanley JONES

JONES, Robert (Bob) Stanley Bob, in his 85th year, peacefully entered into his Saviour’s arms on January 22nd, 2022. Bob is predeceased by his father, John Aroon Jones, his mother, Lillie (Lillian) Florence Newton (nee Jones), his Stepfather, Kenneth Griffin, and his two brothers, Kenneth Robert (Jones) English and Donald Jones. During his life, Bob was an active member of the Salvation Army Church in the many towns he lived during his life. Through his professional career, Bob was employed by the Globe & Mail newspaper where he delivered the morning paper to homes throughout the Halton, Dufferin & Peel areas. A private service of remembrance will be held with family and friends at a time when Covid restrictions permit. Internment will occur at a later date in St. John’s Norway Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario. Words of appreciation are simply not enough for the care given to Bob this past year by the many nurses, personal care workers and medical staff, at his residence, the Shelburne Long Term Care Community. As well, the many nurses and medical staff at Headwaters Health Care Centre Orangeville provided Bob with a great sense of dignity in his last few days with us. Thank you. In lieu of flowers, Bob requested donations to the Salvation Army Community Church, Acton, or Shelburne Grace Church of the Nazarene be considered.
