Obituary of Catherine Ann CASSAR

Catherine Ann (McAleer) Cassar Sept 12. 1942 – October 10, 2021 Peacefully and wrapped in the love of her family, Catherine (Cathy) passed away at Barrie’s Royal Victoria Hospital at the age of 79. Born in Paisley, Scotland to William and Mary McAleer, the family immigrated to Canada and settled in Barrie, Ontario. Cathy married Bernard Victor Cassar in 1962 and started a family shortly there after. The Cassars moved to Orangeville in 1967 and spent several years calling Orangeville home before Cathy returned to Barrie. Cathy is predeceased by husband Bernie Cassar, parents William and Mary, brothers David and Ronnie and nephew Scott. She was a terrific Wife, Mom, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. Her strong will, spirit and remarkable dance steps with brother Bill, will be missed by sons Steve, Tony and daughter-in-law Nicole, brother Bill and sister-in-law Aida McAleer, grandchildren Felicia, Tristan, Stuart and Allison.
