It was with great shock and sadness that I learned of Elizabeth's illness and death.
She was a dear friend, and a very special person.
My love and prayers are with all of you at this sad time and am sorry that I cannot be there to honour Elizabeth.
I treasure the memories of the time we shared together.

My memories are of a tireless advocate for Grand Valley. Her efforts every year with the children reading at the Remembrance Day Ceremony will stay with me. An incredible lady who I admired and respected.

Grand Valley’s “Queen” was a fearless Force of Nature who tirelessly gave of her incredible energy to the Community. She inspired legions of volunteers and served as a bold civic leader. Liz did not suffer fools lightly and she stood up to whiners with relish.
She always held a beautiful and dynamic vision for her beloved town - and pushed for it over the objections of those that couldn’t see. She had a passion for history and the arts and personally drove many of the lovely elements of our Town.
Her strolling brand of politics were the stuff of legend and we will all be poorer for not keeping up on news from her.
Liz will be missed more than we all know. But her long lasting efforts in Grand Valley will truly be reflected for many many years to come.
Her laugh will never be forgotten.

I had the absolute pleasure of being able to meet Liz during our times on Amaranth and Grand Valley councils at various County wide events. Liz was always ready with a smile whenever I saw her there or around Town. She was a great example of how a person should conduct themselves with class and grace while serving the public. She will be missed.
