Obituary of Olga LEBLANC
Olga LeBlanc (nee Tucker)
May 31, 1933 - April 11, 2021
After a short battle with cancer, Olga passed peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Brampton Civic Hospital. She was surround by her family, beloved husband Harold, daughters, Debbie LeBlanc and Wendy Aube, along with her adored grandchildren, Brett, Dylan and Alanna.
Olga was born in Bell Island, Newfoundland to parents Donald and Stella Tucker on May 31, 1933. She was from a large family; one of 9 children, keeping their parents busy. As a young woman, she had a flare for fashion and embarked on her career working in retail fashion. She moved to Toronto, Ontario in 1953 and continuing working in the retail industry. It was at this time, she met the man of her dreams, Harold LeBlanc and embarked on a whirlwind romance, which led to them marrying on October 27, 1955.
Once married, they embarked on their life’s journey together and starting their family. They purchased their first new and forever home in Malton, Ontario, in 1967. Here they continued to raise their daughters. They later purchased the family cottage in Hastings, Ontario in June of 1973. They spent their weekends and holidays here with their family and friends, sharing good times, laughter and fond memories of their times together. Once retired, in January 1994, they purchased their winter Florida home, where they spent their winters for 22 years. Olga enjoyed shopping, playing bingo, and bowling amongst other activities. They travelled throughout Florida exploring new places and interests. Many of Olga’s happiest years were spent in Florida, never having to endure the cold Canadian winters.
Olga’s passion was her family. The love and devotion she had for Harold was truly amazing and spanned over 65 years of marriage. Their bond and commitment to one and another is an inspiration for both Debbie, Wendy and their grandchildren. Olga will be sadly missed by her husband Harold, daughters Debbie, Wendy (Robert), grand children Brett, Dylan and Alanna. She is survived by her sister, Ruth (predecease Frank), and brother Clarence, sister-in-law’s Eileen and Sophie, and brother-in-law Cliff. Predeceased by siblings Randolph (Bett), Arthur (Dora), Wilson (Eileen), Graham (Bridgette), Betty (Cliff), and Gordon (Sophie). She will also be sadly missed by the many nieces, nephews, and friends.
