We will always remember Shirley for how active and engaging she was. She always had project or new craft she was starting.
Sharing photos - at the Roy & Roberta's cottage with the Smiths and thanksgiving dinner at Roy & Roberta's
We will miss you Shirley - Wondering what great new project you are starting now.

I wanted to post some photos of Shirley that I have. The first photo is of Shirley with my immediate family and niece.
Starting at the top left going clockwise:
- Shirley Smith (deceased: 2020)
- Sharon Smith-Chow (deceased: 2011)
- Debbie Smith (deceased: 2012)
- Kayla Chow
- Roberta Smith (deceased: 2010)
The second photo was taken at Allan Gardens with my sister Debbie Smith on Dec 31st 2011.
I have a range of memories of Shirley, ranging from when I was young visiting Shirley and Earl's cottage. A cedar cottage it was nestled in a wooden second growth forest on an island. I can remember fondly the ride in the aluminum fishing boat from the lodge on the shore to the island. Then we would float around the outcroppings and flower pot islands picking blue berries before finally landing.
Then I can see Shirley at a loom weaving and talking about weaving. How excited she was by the classes she was taking and the people she was meeting. The visits to wool stores and her discussing the online communities around the weaving hobby.
I hope that others can also share their memories of Shirley. She was a very private person who only showed limited aspects of herself to others. I'd love to hear what other people were able to experience.
