Obituary of Peter Howard BURKITT

April 27, 1945 - September 15, 2020 The family of Peter Burkitt, of Kilworthy, Ontario (formerly of Schomberg), are saddened to inform you of his untimely death at the age of 75. He died peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on September 15, 2020 with his family by his side. Peter will be extremely missed by his 4 grandchildren, Alicia, Kayla, Cameron, and Hayden Burkitt, as well as his son, Adam and daughter-in-law, Tracey; sister-in-law Catherine Welborn; daughter-in-law Angela Lewis and her son, Jackson; sister Evelyn and her husband, Case Maarse; nephews Gary and Darren Maarse and their families; and his wife of 52 years;, Judith is missing her best friend and confidante. Peter was predeceased by his son, David. His dog, Jubilee, has been very sad without him. Deep sorrow has been expressed by his many close cousins, friends and neighbours. Our world is a little dimmer without Peter’s pranks and hearty laugh. The family will be at the home of Adam and Tracey located at 1 Wallace Avenue, Palgrave on Saturday, October 3rd, from 1:00 to 3:00, to receive a drive-by wave in Peter’s memory. People who would like to honour Peter's memory, may donate to the Heart and Stroke Association, or their favourite charity.
