Obituary of Ian Greer FERGUSON

May 9, 2020 - September 6, 2020 Ian passed away peacefully at home in Melancthon surrounded by family. He is survived by his partner of 33 years, Lynn Codd and his brother Don Ferguson (Florencia). He will be greatly missed by all of family and friends but especially by mother-in-law Bernice Codd, his sister and brother-in-law Barb and Paul McKinney and his nephews Ian (Karen) Ferguson, Brock (Laura), Kent (Amanda) and Dane (Lyndsay) McKinney. Ian will be remembered as a long time teacher at Centre Dufferin District High School, but also as an avid sports fan. Golfing and hockey were his favourites and he spent many hours on the golf course and in the back yard perfecting his game, as well as coaching and playing hockey. He had a keen sense of humour and kept us laughing until the end. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Headwaters, Bayshore Nursing and Care Partners for their compassionate care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to Headwaters Heath Care Centre are gratefully accepted. In accordance with Ian’s wishes, a funeral will not be held. In Memoriam Funeral Services Inc. has been given the honour to serve the Ferguson Family.
