Obituary of Andrew Robert WATT
May 10, 1960 - September 5, 2019
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Robert Watt on September 5, 2019, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. A loving husband, devoted father, caring brother, thoughtful uncle and fiercely loyal friend to so many, Andy was a kind and compassionate soul, easy going, quick witted and willing to do anything to help his family, friends and neighbours.
Andy grew up in Toronto and attended John Ross Robertson Public School, Crescent School, Whitney Public School and Lakefield College. In grade 13 he went to Woodstock School in India. An avid skier Andy was a member of Craigleith Ski Club until he met Ingrid and he moved over to Osler Bluff Ski Club. Many winter nights were spent in the beloved Watt log cabin in Collingwood laughing, playing scrabble, cards and doing crosswords.
We miss you and love you to the moon and back. We will cherish all the fun and loving memories forever.
Andy is survived and will be deeply missed by his wife Ingrid, daughters Lindsay and Jennifer, sister Martha Watson (Cavan O’Connor), brother Cameron (Sandra), nephew Rob Watson, mother-in-law Lisbet Wiuff and his faithful companion Rory. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. H. James and Janet Watt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Monora Park Pavilion on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, at 500 Monora Park Drive, Mono, ON L9W 0E1.
The family would like to thank the staff at Headwaters Health Care Centre for all their care, support and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lung Cancer Canada and Headwaters Health Care Foundation.
