Dear Earl and family, we are extremely sorry to hear about Kim's passing. She will always be remembered as someone who had the ability to make everyone around her smile. She could light up any gathering and was always full of energy and fun. We will miss having her around for our badminton games and the annual OBC gatherings. Hope you and your family find the strength to bear this loss. Sincerely Janet and Edric (OBC)

Dear Earl, Jaidin, Erik, and family,
I'm so very saddened and sorry that you've lost your beautiful Kim. I feel so fortunate for having known her. I will always remember Kim as a positive and vibrant woman who had the biggest smile ! We first met on the badminton courts a few years ago. She was a favorite partner on the courts; always a great sport win or lose, and full of laughs. She clearly adored her family and grand kids and was so happy for me when I became a 'Glamma' as well ! We visited you at home and on one occasion, tried teaching you the 'right' rules of tile rummy; that was a fun evening with many laughs.
Randy and I attended Kim's euchre tournament fundraiser for her Walk to End Cancer; she was the inspiration for our own tournament fundraiser the following year for Randy's Ride to Conquer Cancer. This year's tournament was to be in her honour, after her diagnosis; it's heartbreaking that now it would be in her memory.
Kim was a special gal. Her smile and positivity was contagious. My very sincere condolences to you all.

My deepest condolences to Early, Jaiden and all of Kim’s family. I’m so sorry for your loss. Kim was such an incredible, caring, kind, loving, fun person. Her contagious laugh and infectious smile will be missed by many. I can’t imagine playing badminton without her. She truly was one of my favourite people to play with and we always had a lot of fun and laughs together. I will also miss seeing her latest photos of her adorable grand-babies and listening to her stories. She was such a proud, loving grandma. I remember being on the golf course shortly after Ella was born... Kim was just glowing!! I’m so very thankful that through badminton I had the chance to get to know such a wonderful person and friend! She truly had a heart of gold! God and His angels are very lucky that such a beautiful angel has joined them (I’m sure that’s why she was chosen and taken away from everyone here way too soon). RIP Kim ❤️ You will never be forgotten.

Oh Kimmie, I will miss you, and our oh so many “chats” 13 years ago we met on the ball field....
baseball, you dragging me to cross fit and kicking my butt, and going to the dentist will never be the same, you were such an amazing soul, always smiling, happy and positive. I wish I was half the woman you were. Always a family girl, I’ll never forget you telling me when your first grand baby Ella was born and me laughing because “Glama” suited you! I’m happy I was able to visit in January and heart broken that was my last good bye. My heart goes out to your family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Kim was loved, and will never be forgotten.

It still seems surreal and it is hard to comprehend not having Kim among us any more. Not only was she a wonderful and caring neighbour but also a trusted, fun and ever so helpful friend for many years. She was the first one to greet us when we first moved into our house across the street from the Patterson family.
The world has lost a gem.
Our deepest condolences to the Patterson family.

So saddened to learn of Kim’s passing. We met a number of years ago through our visits to Dr. Dan and over time learned she was related to some of my former work colleagues. Remember her stopping by our house with her children at Halloween. She also paid us a visit after we moved from the Caledon area. She was so proud of both her children and her grandchildren and loved to show their latest photographs. We will always remember her beautiful smile and bubbly personality and offer our sincere condolences to her family at this heartbreaking time.

We have followed Kim's challenging medical journey the past year or so through reports from her Dad, our Uncle, Boyd Collins. I am one of Kim's many distant cousins on her Dad's side. We also remember Kim's Mom Barb, from Alliston; a fine woman indeed. Uncle Boyd has always "been there" for myself and my siblings from a very early age, so we can relate to the loving, caring bond he and Kim must have shared.
Kim was called away much too soon, and we can never understand or justify the "why" to ourselves for someone so young. But she is now at painless, peaceful rest with other loved ones, and suffers no longer.
Our heartfelt condolences to Uncle Boyd and Kim's entire family, as well as other loved ones. May God watch over, bless and comfort Kim. Paul & Janis Nelson & Family, Beaverton, Ontario

Dear Boyd(dad), Chris, Earl, Jaiden and Erik, I am so saddened by Kim’s passing. She was my sister, sister from a different mister she would call me and always followed by a laugh. My life became more complete the day we met in 1995. I am so glad I got to come up and spend time with her this past November and see you all. I could see how much she was loved by everyone and how her passing will leave a void in all our lives. I am proud to call her my sister and she will forever live in my heart. Love you all

Dear Earl and Family - we are so sorry to hear about the loss of Kim. She was an amazing lady, full of life and energy. We always had a great time playing ball with you at Friday night mixed and the season end bonfires at your place. We were sorry to have to stop playing on the team, but that’s what happens when babies come along. I can’t believe that I won’t see her rip another ball up the first baseline, or complete an impossible yoga stretch to get the out on first again. Kim will be missed! Our sincerest condolences on your loss of such a lovely person.

Kimberly, My Darling Daughter,
Because You Lived:
So many lives were touched by your love
So many memories of you bringing a smile
So many times you made a difference in someone's life
So many times you brightened someone's day with your beautiful smile and infectious laugh
So many hearts that are now saddened
Because you were here
Because you were LOVED
Sweetheart, There is a big hole in my heart. I will love you forever and cherish the memories of having a wonderful daughter named KIM. We will see and hug one another again some day. All my love, Dad
THE BROKEN CHAIN
We little knew that morning
God was going to call your name
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you
You did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
You left us peaceful memories
Your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you
You will always be at our side
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The CHAIN will link again
Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory Dad

There's no words to explain the painful emptiness, or how much we want her back. My mom was the gentle soul who touched everyone's lives that she met, she had the most beautiful smile and perfect handwriting. She was there for every important moment in my life, every sports game, every award ceremony, our wedding and at my house everytime the newest grandbaby was on its way. She coached me in hockey, played kick the can with us every summer and came to my baseball games as an adult. Her true mini loves were her grandbabies. Even in the last days when she heard their little voices she would open her eyes and smile. She taught me to be strong and the hardest thing I've had to do this far is live without her.
As Ella would say, "the angels came to get her".
She had a strong, supportive unit behind her and even in the last week; had told us she's still fighting. She was a fighter.
She was an amazing human, a great friend and the best mom.
I dont know who will tell dad his shirt and shorts don't match now.. or how I'll ever be able to pick Ella up from school since she would convince her teachers only gma can come get her. Tessa got to have her first (and last) sleepover with her gma last week. The boys still assume we're going to see her.
It will break my heart when the kids ask to go see gma every morning. Or how do we call the angels?!
God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come to me. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best
Rip my sweet angel
I love you so much mom
