Tara, Pat, Craig and family, I was so very sad and sorry to hear of your loss, it had been years since I had seen Ashton, the last time I ran into her, she was so looking forward to the birth of her little one.
One of my favorite memories of Ashton, isn't at the auction, or playing in your yard with Dusty and Kayla, but at school (CMES). I was working, and Ashton and her little friend, came up to me in the hall with camera and notebook in hand. She said they had to interview 5 people for a class assignment, when she went to take my picture, as a joke I made a ridiculous face. She looked at the picture and then at me and said "I hope your happy, cause that's the picture I'm using" she then takes the notepad and said, "I have to ask a question now, to go with the stupid picture, What's your favorite band?" I said Marilyn Manson, she rolled her eyes, and said "come on AnnaMay this is serious" I said okay Slipknot. She put her little hands on her hips, looked at me in exasperation turned to her friend and said "Put down Back Street Boys" I said Wait, What? Okay, my favorite band is Pink Floyd. Ashton packed up her camera, and notepad, as she and her friend (they were probably only in grade 5 or 6) walked away, she looked over her shoulder and said "Too bad, you had your chance, now everybody is going to see that picture of you, with your new favorite band Back Street Boys" and they both laughed. I remember laughing on the walk home for lunch. Her confidence, and how she handled her annoyance with me was perfect. That sums up Ashton for me, funny, confident, clever.
She was a beautiful soul, that will be missed, please accept my heartfelt condolences

So very sorry to hear of Ashtons passing. She was a beautiful young lady with a kind heart and lovely smile. I was lucky to have met Ashton through her friendship with my daughter, and she will be truly missed.
May the wonderful memories you have of Ashton bring you peace through this terrible time of grief.

I will never forget all the times we spent together at Family Transition Place ... my favourite times with Ashton were when we did art during the drop in group. She was so talented and creative. Heaven has gained such a beautiful soul ❤️

I never personally met Ashton, but she was a good friend on FB and a wonderful mother to Luca. I am so saddened by her passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the Family of this very special young woman.
