My ever first memory of my stepmom Susan was at the old house in Alton. Not the one on Charles St, the other one atop of the hill backing the pinnacle. This was before Melanie and Richard were born. I was sitting on the couch with the curtains behind me covering the window. When suddenly Sue launched her hand at my hair and pulled out an earwig that was close to going in my ear. She was super fast and I always appreciated her for that. Weird memory, I know, but she took a child who wasn't hers and cared for me aswell. Ill always remember all of those big spools of yarn aswell. Rest now Sue.

We are so very sorry to hear of Susan's passing.
We remember how kind and welcoming she was when Ann & I visited you at Alton in 1998, and we saw how much she loved Ivor and you all. You will have wonderful memories of Susan to treasure.

Sending much love and my deepest condolences to Ivor, Sharon, Danielle, Dyan, Meghan, Rick & Melanie.
I have the fondest memories of Susan from my visit to Canada with my Son Kieran during the late 90's, we were made to feel so welcome and Sue catered for our every need including making us laugh which was much needed in amongst Ivors jokes !
It was so obvious what a super Mum Susan was to the 3 youngsters and although Dyan was living at home too I'll refer back to the phrase youngsters !
Susan was a great host, a great cook, a right good laugh but most of all a truly wonderful and kind Lady. XX John Cleeves XX

To Susan’s family , I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Susan’s passing . I have been Susan’s hairdresser for many ,many years . She was a wonderful client . I loved our visits , we gossiped, we laughed and had some serious conversations from time to time . I’m thinking of you all and sending my deepest sympathies. I will miss our visits .
