Obituary of Gordon Edward HUNTUIK (HNATUIK)

Gordon Edward Hnatuik August 22, 1937 - May 30, 2021 It is with saddened hearts we say goodbye to Gordon who passed away at the age of 83 at Bethell Hospice, Alton Ontario on May 30, 2021. Loving Father to Donna Grant, John, Wendy and Mike Hnatuik, brother to Richard Hnatiuk (Joan). Grandfather and great grandfather to many. Gord worked hard in the field of landscape construction, both self employed and as a supervisor for many firms. His career took him to areas across Canada and around the world. Raised and worked in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario lived and worked for many years in Fort McMurray Alberta (with his sons close by). In early retirement Gord moved to Nanaimo BC with his wife Maggie, then they relocated to Southern Ontario in his final years to be close to his daughters. Gord lived a very full life with many adventures, he and his stories will be in our hearts forever. Thank you to all those that helped with Gord’s care. A special thank you to Mary who has been like a 3rd daughter to both Gord and Meggie (predeceased) and to his nurse Annie for all her help, comfort and support.
