Obituary of Pieter VAN DYKEN

Peter Van Dyken

Dec 19, 1948 – January 22, 2025

After a long battle with CCL and Lymphoma, on January 22^nd , at the age of 76, Peter was called home to glory and reunited with his daughter Patricia. 

Peter is survived by his wife Alice, son Kevin (Nadine), daughter Julie (Christian), son Kenneth (Claire) and son-in-law Kevin (Arlene).  Peter was also known as Opa to 13 grandkids – Aisha, Kyra, Jayden, Lukas, Addison, Issac, Emma, Danica, Grayson, Ethan, Mikayla, Bryn and Alice and brother to Albert (Didi).  He is pre-deceased by his mother Janke, father Dirk and daughter Patricia.

 In memory of Peter’s life, in lieu of flowers please donate to the Relay for Life that Peter’s granddaughter Kyra runs in each year to remind everyone we are not in this fight alone or donate to Matthews House Hospice to bless other families in the same journey.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 25^th at 1:00 p.m. at the Compass Community Church (246289 Hockley Rd, Mono, ON L9W 6K4). Light refreshments to follow for a time of fellowship.
